After receiving her nursing certificate she immigrated to New York where she worked as a nanny and nurse. It's there that she met and married Louis Aldrich. They settled in New Jersey and had six children, before moving to California in 1962. They were married for 41 years before his death in 1991.
After raising her children Mary updated her nursing certificate and worked at Chope Hospital Emergency Room in San Mateo for eleven years. Mary enjoyed being with family, gardening, reading, poetry and knitting. She especially enjoyed knitting baby blankets for family, friends, neighbors and co-workers. She is survived by her children, Rev.
