Wilma Jean
Tate
September 16, 1929 – August 8, 2023
In Loving Memory of Wilma Jean Tate Our cherished mother and devoted grandmother passed away on August 8th,2023 at the age of 93. Born in Iowa along with her twin brother Wilbur Dean Cobel, they were raised in Mountain Grove, Missouri and later Springfield, Mo. After meeting the love of her life Raymond in high school, they married and moved to Detroit, MI. where they had five children, then after moving to Springfield, Mo, had three more children, but that's not all! When they decided to come to Ca. for dad's health they had their last child for a total of nine, six daughters and three sons. Mom worked at Host International Coffee Shop at the SF airport for a time and enjoyed meeting people, always with a smile and wishing them a good journey. She always said one of her favorite pastimes was people watching. But her real joy came from visiting and taking care of her grandchildren, all 20 of them, they in turn gave her 25 great grandchildren, with 3 more presently in the works! She loved our Lord Jesus and raised all her offspring with saying the Lord's Prayer each night at bedtime. We all miss her and she lives in our hearts until we once again see her at her and dad's new address: Heaven
