Wilma M
Gaggioli
February 7, 1929 – May 17, 2025
Wilma May Gaggioli, 96 years young, passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Saturday May 17, 2025 following a short illness. She is survived by five of her six children: Bill Gaggioli of Redmond, WA, Mary Sacco of Redwood City, CA, Susan Gaggioli of Redwood City, CA, Sandra Ingle of Richmond, TX, Nancy Medeiros of El Dorado, CA, twelve grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and adopted daughter Eileen Lindsay-Boll of Glen Ellen, CA . Her family circle includes dear daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy, Pam, Joe, Steve, Ted, and Dave. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Fred Gaggioli, and son, Fred Jr. of Northfield, MN.
Wilma, known to her loved ones as Sue, was born February 7, 1929 in Arab, MO. Her family moved often because her father worked construction during the depression. It wasn't' until her senior year in high school that she was able to start and finish an entire school year in one location.
Sue excelled academically becoming the first member of her family to attend college where she pursued a degree in English. While working the graveyard shift at Marty K's Drive-In to pay for college, she met the love of her life, Fred Gaggioli. They were married in 1951.
In 1970, Sue and Fred packed up their young family and drove across the country to California, settling in Menlo Park. While raising her children, Sue's careers included teaching, realty and volunteering as a church lector and Eucharistic minister. She had an insatiable love of reading, healthy living and exercise. Gatherings of family and friends were many and loved by all. She was an avid fan of the Golden State Warriors, dark chocolate and girl's nights out with her daughters.
A natural beauty, active, lucid and with a delightful sense of humor, her absence is keenly felt by her family and all those who loved her. She will be missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Sue's life be honored with a living tribute such as a tree available at the website:
shop.alivingtribute.org
or a donation to a naturopathic research institution of your choice.
