William (Bill) Mathews 93, passed away November 23, 2022 at Rosewood Gardens in Livermore, CA. He was preceded in death by wife Jean, sister Marilyn Dutra & sister-in-law Shirley Beattie. He leaves behind his brother Jon Krieg Sr(Donna), brother-in-law Doug Dutra, Sister-in-law Bernadette McAllister (Doug), several nieces, nephews, cousins & god children. He was born on November 14, 1929 to Ivey Mathews & Thelma Elke. He served two years in US Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Jean Ball Oct 10, 1959. He retired from Kaiser Hospital in 1993. He was an avid record collector of all music of the 30's & 40's. His voice was compared to Bing Crosby & Pat Boone & once sang on a radio station in San Francisco in late 40's & early 50's. He developed a love for taking pictures and motion pictures. He was an excellent host when he and Jean gave dinners & many times played Santa Claus at Christmas dinners and for Kaiser Hospital staff.
