Maestrini
January 2, 1925 – March 4, 2023
Tonino Maestrini January 2, 1925 - March 4, 2023 Our beloved Tonino Maestrini died peacefully in his residence in Menlo Park on Saturday, March 4 th . He was fortunate to have lived for a healthy 98 years.
Tonino is survived by his son, Fernando, his daughter-in-law, Adreane, and his three grandchildren, Anthony, Marco, and Gina. He had five great grandchildren: Mariah, Giovanna, Adreana, Malina, and Luca.
Tonino was born on January 2nd , 1925 to Angela and Sergio in Aquaviva, Italy. He had two younger brothers, Armando and Aurelio. As a young man, he managed his family farm and served some time in the military.
When he was in his young 20s, he met his wife, Rosa, who lived in the nearby town in Frontone, Italy. They got married on December 27th , 1947. Their family eventually made their way to the United States in July of 1966.
They settled in the city of Menlo Park and he worked for Delta Star, where he assembled electrical transformers for over 30 years. He was fortunate enough to work for this company, alongside his son and two brothers, for all of his career.
During his free time, Tonino enjoyed creating beautiful vegetable gardens, riding his bike, spending quality time with his family and playing bocce at the Italian Social Club, which is conveniently located across the street from his house. Tonino and Rosa had a strong Catholic faith and would walk to Saint Raymond's Church every Sunday for Mass. In unfortunate circumstances, his wife passed away at the early age of 70.
In his older years, he liked playing dominos, taking car rides with his caretaker, Siu, and spending time with all of his loved ones.
Tonino will always be in our hearts and we cherish the wonderful memories we have made with him.
