Obituary

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Susan A. Krimmer, a beacon of love, resilience, and life. Susan, a native of Redwood City, was born on June 7, 1948, and peacefully passed away, surrounded by her family on January 5, 2024.
Her life was a beautiful testament to faith and unwavering dedication. The beloved daughter of Glenn and Naida Glick, Susan's journey was marked by a profound love for Jesus. She devoted her life to Him and selflessly served in a variety of churches before becoming a part of Menlo Church, where she attended for 40 years. Susan served as a deacon and volunteered in the Children's Ministry at Menlo Church, where her warmth and compassion left a lasting impact on the lives of countless young ones.
Her diverse array of hobbies connected her with numerous people, bringing much joy to her life. Beyond her many interests, Susan cherished spending time with her family, actively participating in both significant and everyday moments. She will be remembered as a dependable and generous individual.
In addition to her deep spiritual commitment and family devotion, Susan's vibrant and varied interests brought joy to her loved ones. An accomplished designer and seamstress, she showcased her adventurous spirit in the kitchen, creating delicious meals that left a lasting impression. Susan's home was a testament to her creativity, often drawing compliments from passersby who admired the beautiful oasis she crafted.
Susan masterfully balanced motherhood with working. Her success in a variety of jobs after college led her to becoming the executive assistant for Exponent for 30 years. Aside from working, she had a strong commitment of being a present and engaged mother. Whether contributing to the Nursing Mothers Council or supporting school productions, including the school play, Sue consistently showed up for her children, leaving a lasting impact on their lives.
Susan was the epitome of strength and determination, bravely facing a 40-year battle with cancer. Her courage and tenacity inspired all who knew her, earning her the title of a true fighter.
Susan is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Jack Krimmer, and their children, Karen (Chris) and Alan (Kelsey). She will be deeply missed by her sister, Leslie (Bryan), and her cherished grandchildren, Jonah, Gracie, Crosby, Kayley, and Amelia. Susan's love and guidance will continue to shape the lives of those she held dear. Her influence and dedication to her loved ones will forever be remembered and cherished by those lucky enough to have known her.
A Celebration of Life service in honor of Susan will be held on February 2nd at 11 am at Menlo Church. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Dr. Dorigo's cancer research lab at Stanford Medical, as an appreciation for giving us more years with Sue and wanting to make the world better.
May Susan's soul rest in eternal peace. Her legacy of love, faith, and strength to making a difference will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
