Ron passed away peacefully at his home in Belmont, surrounded by his loving family, following a courageous battle with cancer. Throughout every challenge, Ron maintained his trademark positivity and unwavering optimism.

Born in South San Francisco, Ron graduated from Junipero Serra High School (Class of 1972) before embarking on a lifelong career as a skilled carpenter. Outside of work, he was a true adventurer at heart who found immense joy in nature—whether skiing, hiking, or traveling through Europe.

Of all his journeys, his family was his greatest joy and adventure. Ron cherished every moment spent with them, teaching them to live life to the fullest and sharing his deep love for the outdoors and his beloved San Francisco 49ers.

Ron is survived by his devoted wife, Katie; his children, Daniel, Thomas, Allison, and Jessica; his mother, Cathy Barri; his brothers, Ray and Russell; his sister, Catherine Rice and mother-in-law, Maureen Olson. He was adored by countless nieces and nephews and in-laws too.

Services for Ron will be held Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 10am at St Marks Catholic Church 325 Marine View Avenue, Belmont, CA 94002.
