Robert D.
Poole
October 18, 1956 – January 15, 2026
Robert "Bob" Poole, 69, of Redwood City, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 15, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 18, 1956, in Fort Riley, Kansas, and was the son of Charles Robert Poole and Mary J. Cox, formerly Poole.
Bob was a devoted husband to his wife, Julie; with whom he shared 45 loving years of marriage. He was a loving father to his sons, Robert and Dustin; and a proud grandfather to his five grandchildren.
He graduated from Pescadero High School and later began working for himself as a carpet installer. Thereafter, he and his brother-in-law founded and operated a thriving paving business.
Bob enjoyed time with his family. When his sons were young, they would spend time camping, fishing and dirt bike riding together. He also loved the open road and the freedom he found riding his motorcycle throughout the years. He treasured the time he spent with grandchildren, and his dogs provided him with quiet companionship and comfort.
In his final months, Bob faced illness with quiet strength and grace. He was lovingly cared for over the years by his wife, Julie, and he immensely appreciated her unwavering love for him and devotion.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Julie; his sons, Robert, and Dustin (Lisa); his father, Charles Robert Poole; his mother, Mary J. Cox; and five grandchildren; and a host of friends and relatives.
His legacy of love for family will continue to live on through the lessons he taught, the love he gave, and the memories he created for all who knew him.
Services have been held.
To honor Bob lifelong love of animals, the family suggests contributions in their memory to Pets In Need in Redwood City.
