Tillie Ferlito


Matilda Barca Ferlito was born in San Francisco, to Antonio and Marina Longo Barca, who had emigrated to the U.S. from Santa Marina Salina, in Italy. Tillie lived in Redwood City since 1939 and graduated from Sequoia High School. She was married to Anthony Ferlito for nearly 60 years, and had four children: Nancy, Barbara, Dennis and Richard, four grandsons: Christopher and Jeffrey Field; Tyler and Nicholas Hardwick; and three great-grandchildren: Elliott Hardwick and Lilly and Miles Field. Her family also included sons-in-law James Hardwick and Dennis Field; daughters-in-law Jeannie Ferlito and Vicky Ferlito. Tillie lived a spirited, happy life, always surrounded by family and friends who enjoyed her warm, loving companionship.
