Obituary

Marco Antonio B. Torres passed away peacefully at his home in Modesto, CA on October 27th at the age of 81. He was born on June 13, 1943, to Angelina Barrales Torres and Rudolfo Torres Hernandez in Mexico City DF, where he attended college until he took a detour for the American dream at the end of 1966. He was a proud resident of Redwood City for most of his life until he relocated to the Central Valley in 2000. He was a generous man of humor and wisdom and an example of hard work and dedication, both in his profession as a roofer/landlord and as an excellent father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a true jack of all trades. He was a goodhearted person who took care of many loved ones, especially his parents. He loved to travel, which often included caravan trips to Mexico and to the lakes for boating/camping. He especially loved the casinos until he could no longer go and then his attention was diverted to scratchers. He had a lifelong rule of eating out for Sunday dinners so no one would have to cook. We cannot talk about him, without mentioning his love of his McDonald's breakfast: #2 - Sausage McMuffin with egg meal with a large coffee and four cream and four sugars with extra napkins.
He will be fondly remembered by his loving spouse of 56 years, Aurora Torres; his children Rossana Torres, Karina and Jose Cornejo, Jamilah and LLenuy Valencia, and Marcoantonio and Blanca Torres; his grandchildren: Fabian and Christy Valencia, Jonathan Valencia, Lyzeth Torres, Cazathia Torres, Ariana Cornejo, Nethaly Torres, Roman Cornejo, and Athelis Torres; and his great grandchildren Ezra, Aria, and Titus Valencia; as well as numerous relatives and friends whom he loved deeply.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and numerous relatives whom he loved deeply.
Your legacy will forever live on through the countless lives you touched and the lessons you taught us. Though we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the incredible life he lived. He was always a person you could count on and did not hesitate to help anyone in need. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to all for your prayers, thoughts, and love you showed to our dad.
