Linda H. Sampsell (November 1, 1942 – November 3, 2025)

Linda H. Sampsell, 83, of Redwood City, California, passed away on November 3, 2025. She will be remembered for her boundless love, gentle spirit, and devotion to those she held dear.

She was born in Cabarrus County, North Carolina in 1942 to John Nelson Halstead and Cornelia Irene Halstead. Linda found joy in life's simple pleasures – walking outdoors, tending her beautiful garden, and spending time with her faithful boxer dogs. Her love of nature was matched only by the warmth she shared with her family. Of all her roles in life, "Grandma" was the one she cherished most.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents John and Cornelia Halstead, and she is survived by her husband of 60 years, Rex Sampsell, three children Rex Lee Sampsell, Tasha Sampsell and Lori Nguyen, two grandchildren Seanna Nance and Dylan Nguyen, sister Kaye Listug, brother John Halstead and nieces Maria Orozco, Monica Abkin and Shannon Halstead.

A memorial will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. at Crippen & Flynn Woodside Chapel, 400 Woodside Rd., Redwood City.
