Lena
Perrone
December 4, 1936 – February 17, 2026
With deep love and gratitude for a life richly lived, we share the passing of Lena Perrone at the age of 89.
Born in Carlentini, Sicily, Lena made the journey to America aboard the Andrea Doria in 1954 at 17 years old. She became part of the Italian-American community in San Francisco alongside her parents and brother.
In 1963, she met her beloved Joe. It was love at first sight, and they eloped in a small ceremony. Their marriage was one of devotion, laughter, and the kind of spirited banter shared by Italian soulmates.
Together, they built a home filled with tradition, warmth and the unmistakable aroma of her Sicilian cooking. They raised two sons, Nino and Russ, who were the pride of her life. Her devotion was unwavering - she loved fiercely and gave endlessly.
Lena was a grandmother to four granddaughters and an aunt to countless nieces and nephews who will forever carry her stories, her recipes, and her wisdom. Alongside her role as a homemaker, Lena was a talented seamstress and enjoyed her early career as a secretary at Liberty Mutual.
We will forever remember Lena. Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Daughter, Cousin and Friend.
Lena is survived by her two sons, their wives, four granddaughters, and her brother and his family: Nino (Debra), Kristina & Olivia, Russ (Kerri), Serena & Lydia, Cetto, brother (Cathy), Gianna, Sofia, Ross, Cetto's eldest children and grandkids, Ina (Dennis), Briana, Dennis Jr. Abby, Lisa, Erica (Shaun) and James
Lena is preceded in death by her parents, Rosario and Carmela Raiti and her beloved husband Giuseppe Perrone.
