It is with great sadness that we share that Larry Douglas Fosgett, 76, of Redwood City, California
passed away peacefully at home on November 24, 2024 after a long illness. He was born on
January 5, 1948 in Oakland, California, the son of Daniel Fosgett and Nina Fosgett.
Larry graduated from Sequoia High School in 1966, and ultimately found a career as a skilled
auto mechanic who enjoyed working on Porsches and other high-performance and vintage cars.
Preceding Larry in death are his parents; spouse Katherine (Kathie) Fosgett; former spouse,
Joan Fosgett; and sister, Dianne Fosgett.
Larry is survived by former spouse Sheena Fosgett; sons Daniel Fosgett and John Fosgett;
daughter-in-law Sue Fosgett; grandchildren, Dylan Fosgett, Alison Fosgett and Cody Fosgett;
brother-in-Law Wesley Eugene Adkins; stepchildren, Mark Silva, Carol McDermott, and Michael
Silva; and beloved cat, Vinnie.
Larry was a rock star. He loved playing the electric bass and singing in numerous bands, notably
Wingfoot in the 1970's and in later years, The Wingmen. He was also very creative and was an
accomplished model maker. He loved to travel. Larry enjoyed a good party and co-hosted
many legendary 4 th of July gatherings in his and Kathie's back yard, featuring good food and rock
and roll.
Larry was most recently a member of The First Church of Redwood City.
A private memorial will be held.
