Kenneth Victor Bottari passed away on June 14, 2026 at the age of 86. He met the love of his life, Jean Stagnaro in 1957 at Smith's Drive-In in San Bruno and they began their 68 year marriage in May of 1958.

Born at French Hospital in San Francisco in 1939 to the late Helen and Frank Bottari, Ken grew up in San Bruno and went to Capuchino High School Class of 1957. Ken became a heavy equipment operator for his father's company, Frank C. Bottari grading and paving, and went on to work in the construction industry. He was a union member for 62 years at OE-Local 3.

Ken was a kind, gentle and fun loving catholic man with a big heart, and his extended family and friends loved him dearly. He loved camping at Yosemite and Pinecrest, and brought his motor home covering a large area across the country including seeing Ellis Island where his Grandfather Nonno had come over from Lammari, Italy in 1910. His Grandfather Oscar Lind gave Ken a camera in the 8th grade and he learned manual photography and took phenomenal pictures ever since. He loved the 49ers, cars and was a member of several car clubs.

Ken was a loving father to his two sons, Scott and Bob. He taught them sports, construction and mechanical aptitude. He was grandfather to Collin, Luke and Dante and was present for all of their sports. He was a wonderful Dad, Grandpa, Uncle, cousin and friend that engaged himself and his family within large branches of extended family and friends where he found and made happiness and wellness throughout.

He is survived by his wife Jean, sons Scott and Bob (Gina), two brothers Roger and Steve, and his grandchildren, Collin, Luke and Dante.

A Graveside service was held on Tuesday, June 30th, 2026 at Skylawn Memorial Park, Route 35 at Highway 92, in San Mateo. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Veterans of Foreign Wars, or Tunnel to Towers
