Obituary

Kathleen Krize, age 80, peacefully passed away at her home in Elk Grove, California surrounded by her family and friends on January 9, 2024.
Kathy lived a life defined by kindness, grace, and unwavering dedication to her loved ones. She focused on what was possible and always saw the positive in everything.
Kathy was a known optimist. "If you look around, you will see inspiration everywhere. My mother is (my biggest inspiration), but I am inspired by ordinary people who do extraordinary things. Nature also inspires me. For instance, a butterfly starts life as an ugly caterpillar that eats everything in sight. It is transformed into an amazing and beautiful butterfly that helps pollinate and flits about offering beauty to the world. Dogs inspire me with their goodness and giving nature. They ask for little in return."

Kathy loved quotes as well. Sitting on the wall next to her desk is one she would no doubt want us to remember, "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined."

While raising her three children, Kathy started her financial career at McNeil Corporation and then became a manager of 16 branches at First Nationwide Bank, she received five licenses including series 6, to become a financial consultant. Kathy then became a licensed realtor in the Bay Area where she truly embraced her life's passion.

Kathy's memory will be forever cherished by her husband Geron (Gerry) Krize, sons Mark (Cathy) Krampert and Scott (Jacie) Krampert, daughter Leslie Krampert (Peter) Lukowitsch and stepchildren Gina Krize (Dave) Wells and Chris Krize. Her grandchildren Zacary Krampert, Nicolas Krampert, Michaela Krampert, Raquel Krampert, Ava Krampert, Jack Lukowitsch, Kurt Lukowitsch, Hallie Lukowitsch, and Skylar Wells, and her sister Nancy D'Anjou (Don) Davis, and nieces and nephews; Jennifer Hulkko Eric Davis, Nicole D'Anjou, and David DuBou, former husband Ed (Marlon) Krampert, and many others she considered her family.

She is predeceased by her parents, Milo and Janet D'Anjou and her sister, Maxine (Maggie) D'Anjou DuBou.

A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Matthias Parish, 1685 Cordilleras Rd, Redwood City, CA. followed by a Celebration of Life Party.
