Julieta Larisa Cohan-Rodriguez July 1970, Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico
Beloved mother, daughter, sister, auntie passed away at her home. She is survived by her daughter Isabel Venecia Gonzalez, her mother Beatriz Rodriguez and her nephews, nieces whom she cared for, as well as her brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Larisa was born in Mexico and came to the United States at the age of 2 and a half. Larisa attended Nativity School and graduated in 1985 and attended Carlmont High School where she graduated in 1989.
In July of 1988 while celebrating her 18th birthday, she met a tourist, Juan Gonzalez, asking for directions. They fell in love and gave birth to beautiful baby girl, Isabel Venecia Gonzalez.
Larisa enjoyed being a mother above all else, and she loved music, laughing and nurturing. She has many friends and extended family who will miss her very much. Her daughter Isabel will truly miss her mother and will never forget the fantastic memories they lived together. There are not enough words to express the love and appreciation Isabel has for her mother, Larisa "Mommy Nina".
The viewing and vigil will be held on October 25th from 3- 6 pm at Crippen and Flynn Woodside Chapel (400 Woodside Road, Redwood City) at 5pm, and the funeral will be on October 26th at 11am, at Nativity Church (210 Oak Grove, Menlo Park, 94025). »
