Obituary

Jose Lizandro Guevara, a devoted believer in Jesus and a loving patriarch, peacefully passed away on April 19, 2024, surrounded by his beloved family. Born in El Salvador in September 1932 to Jose Lima and Meletina Guevara, he lived a life filled with love, wisdom, and faith. Jose, affectionately known as Chando, migrated to Redwood City in 1982, where he built a cherished home until his final moments.

He leaves behind a profound legacy survived by his cherished wife and best friend of 65 years, Virginia, six adoring children, 21 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren. His children fondly recall his gratitude, love, and wise counsel, admiring his ability to maintain a harmonious and balanced life while firmly upholding clear boundaries.

Jose's favorite scripture, John 14, reflects his unwavering faith and commitment to living a life of purpose and kindness. His gentle spirit and profound impact on those around him will be deeply missed, yet his legacy of love and wisdom will endure through generations to come, carried on by his devoted family.
