We mournfully announce the passing of John "Big John" Snyder, 76, of Redwood
City, CA. John passed away on September 03, 2024, of natural causes. John,
born to Melvin and Pauline Snyder, took his first breath on November 13, 1947.
John was a loving, caring individual who easily made friends and valued them.
He graduated from Sequoia High School in 1965 and College of San Mateo in
1967. While John never married, he lived a full and vibrant life with more
friends than you could count. His nephews and nieces meant the most to him
and they formed a large and ever-growing family. When John retired, he
devoted his time to hobbies & interests. He kept in close contact with lifelong
friends. In his life he devoted himself to youth baseball. He coached Little
league, Babe Ruth League, High School, and Junior College teams in the
Redwood City vicinity for four decades. All will miss him dearly. Services will be
at Crippen & Flynn, Woodside Chapel, on September 11, 2024, at 12:00 PM.
