Obituary

We are saddened to announce the death of Joanne Franco on April 8 , 2021 , quietly and peacefully in her sleep , with the care of Hospice in her home . Joanne is survived by her husband , James A . Franco ( " Jim " ) and their daughter Kelly Kranci . She was blessed with three beautiful grandchildren , Michael , Ryan and Natalie . and her sister Rachael Zeiph and brother Joseph Zeiph along with a nephew and nieces . A true San Francisco native , Joanne spent most of her adult life in the East Bay and ultimately in San Carlos . She was a devoted homemaker , by taking care of Jim and her family . She and Jim met while working at a pharmacy together in Morgan Hill 50 years ago . She often said their marriage was the greatest love affair ima g inable . Anyone who knew Joanne would agree that she was a woman who forged her own path . She was always the prettiest woman in the room , and the most fun . She and Jim spent time with their family and a very large social group of friends , and often hosted parties , holidays , and birt h days at their home . She loved her family and friends with all her heart . She was an animal lover , and no pet ever had a better home . Services are not planned at this time . In lieu of flowers , the family welcomes donations to Hospice , the Peninsula Humane Society and SPCA , or the Lange Foundation ( an animal rescue in Southern California ) .
