Obituary

Mrs. Janice Page (66) died in Chandler Arizona, on November 12, 2021, after courageously battling cancer for over a year. Born on July 13, 1955, she was predeceased by her parents John and Theresa Vitelli, and by her husband, Larry Page. Janice is remembered by her sister Margaret (Mike) Wilson, brother Kevin Vitelli, Uncle Clyde Vitelli, nephew Scott (Amber) Wilson and their children (Aiden, Elyse and Courtney), her niece Catherine Wilson and her son (Alex), her niece Stephanie (Bronwen) Wilson, and her niece Lynn (Craig) Lee and their son (Cade). Janice is also remembered by many close friends, including Paul and Linda Larkin, who lovingly helped care for her in Chandler this past year.
Born and raised in Redwood City, Janice spent most of her career working for the San Mateo Sheriff's Office, retiring as a Sergeant. She received many accolades during her career, including one for valor, and was blessed with many close friends in the Department.
Janice had many interests, in addition to playing golf, she loved to travel and visited such divergent places as Ireland, Costa Rica, Egypt, Poland, England, Italy, and the Galapagos Islands. She also made routine visits back to the Bay Area, being sure to be there for Christmas to make her famous marinated crab (a secret family recipe shared only with her by her cousin Vivian) for her family to enjoy on Christmas Eve. She also made numerous trips throughout Arizona, meeting many new friends along the way.
Her family wishes to acknowledge the support she received by her friends and by Ryan Wurzel and his incredible staff from Helpful Hands Home Care over the past few months, people who brought joy and meaning to her last days.
Janice asked that in lieu of flowers to please contribute to support cancer research, either to Banner Health Foundation (Arizona), St. Jude's Children Research Hospital Foundation, or a charity program of your choice.
