Gwendolyn Ascani, born March 10 ^th in Elko, Nevada. She was raised by both of her parents and lived with her two sisters in Mountain City, Nevada (a small mining town).  Gwen passed away peacefully, at the age of 70, on May 20 ^th at 4:21pm at Sequoia Hospital (same hospital where she gave birth to her daughter), in the presence of all of her closest family members including her husband, Otello Ascani.

Her husband, of 40 years, daughter, grandson, two sisters, and two cats, survives Gwen. Soon after meeting Otello, she moved to Redwood City and has been living there since. She enjoyed reading, cheering for the Golden State Warriors, the San Francisco Giants, spending time with her grandson, being in nature, and playing with her kitties. Gwen was very successful in school graduating from Owahee High School as the valedictorian, which was five miles from her home, on a Shoshone-Piaute American Indian reservation. She eventually moved on to earning a bachelor's degree in Accounting from University of Nevada, Reno with a full scholarship. As a young adult she enjoyed horseback riding, off roading/mining with her Dad, going to the beach, encouraging nutrition on everyone, dancing with her husband, and house boating with her family and friends. Rest in peace our dear Gwen, we love you, and you are now free (you know what I mean by that Mom).
