Greta Mae Gonsalves, of Belmont, CA passed away in her home on February 14, 2022. She was 92, born on January 11, 1930 in Oakland, CA to Laura Wold and Albert Cavanaugh. She graduated from Castlemont High School in Oakland in 1948. She married Frank Gonsalves in February 1949. She was preceded
in death by her parents and her sister, Patricia Powers. She is survived by her husband, Frank, and five children including Robin Schreiber (John) of Redwood City CA, Panda DeJohn (Ken) of Houston TX, Denny Gonsalves of Antioch CA, Charmaine Hoy (Matthew) of San Carlos CA and Derek Gonsalves (Tatiana) of Santa Clara, CA. She is also survived by three grandchildren including Janelle DeJohn, John Patrick Schreiber, and Adrianna Gonsalves.

Greta displayed a strong sense of perseverance, responsibility, creativity and respect for hard work. These qualities combined with her sense of humor, empathy, and extraordinary beauty made us so fortunate to have her in our lives.

The Funeral Mass will be held at St Mark Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 11:00 am with Father Angel as celebrant. The interment will occur at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Los Altos, CA, on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at noon.
