Gloria Marie
Goggiano
August 9, 1932 – March 3, 2025
A life well lived, Gloria Marie Goggiano passed away on March 3, 2025 at the age of 92.
A native of San Francisco, born to John and Anna Ardizzone on August 9, 1932, Gloria grew up as an only child, and couldn't have been loved more than she was.
Married in 1950 to her high school sweetheart, Giulio Goggiano, they went on to raise four children, Stephen, Adrienne, Christine, and Diana, in Westlake, and then in Redwood City.
In addition to her role as a loving wife and mother, at times Gloria worked as a bookkeeper at her parents' printing and stationery business on Market Street in the City, and later at a SF Peninsula business.
Being an only child, Gloria sought deep friendships with her friends and relatives. Although too many people to count, they brought much joy to her life during social activities, sporting events, and card tournaments. The consummate host and organizer, she cherished her roles in bowling leagues, class reunions, and the annual bus trips to Reno.
Gloria was always ready for an adventure to travel abroad, to find a favorite destination in the US, or board a cruise ship. Spending time at her vacation home in Arnold with her family was especially heartwarming.
Gloria was a devoted sports fan of the Forty Niners and Giants teams, but there was no greater enthusiast in attendance than at her children and grandchildren's sporting events, activities, graduations, and weddings-they were the light of her life!
Gloria was predeceased by her husband Giulio and son Stephen. She is survived by her children Adrienne (Jerry), Christine (James), Diana (Thomas), and daughter-in-law Barbara (Stephen); grandchildren Juliann (Brian), Anna (Greg), Joseph (Alicia), Natalie (Will), Alexa (Justin), and Michael (Kimberly); great-grandchildren Mason, Sadie, Dominic, Luca, Colin, Gianna, Benjamin, Vincent, and Sofia; step-grandchildren Jennifer (Ariel), Jordin (Mike), and Jaime (Jim); step-great-grandchildren Lauren, Mason, Morgan, Rilyn, Reid, Carter, and Emory.
Forever in our hearts, Gloria will be remembered as a person full of life, enthusiasm and energy, deeply caring with a vibrant personality, our "Noni" with a constant smile and open arms ready to welcome us.
A private funeral will be held March 19, 2025. In memory of Gloria, if desired, we ask that a charitable donation be made to The Brain Research Foundation
(www.thebrf.org )
, or to your preferred charitable foundation.
