Obituary

Gertrude Castellano passed into heaven on the morning of Tuesday April 27, 2021 at the age of 95.
Gertrude, known as Trudy to her friends and acquaintances, was born and raised in Hope Idaho by her loving parents James and Mary Campbell. Trudy was the youngest of six children.
Trudy met her future husband Norman J Castellano during World War II and was later married in San Francisco March 2, 1946.
In 1954 Norman and Trudy moved to Redwood City, building their forever home. Norman, a Veteran of World War II and the San Francisco Fire Department, predeceased Trudy in 1998. Trudy was the loving mother of son, Michel J Castellano, and daughters Julianna Castellano and Barbara Castellano Westlake. Trudy was also the proud grandmother of Caitlyn and Sarah Westlake.
Trudy lived in Redwood City for 67 years and made a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was always ready and willing to help others in need. Trudy was an avid gardener with a beautiful flowered backyard and a great cook. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting and crochet.
Trudy, Gertrude Castellano, was the ultimate Mother and homemaker who loved her family dearly.
A Funeral Services will be at Saint Pius Church, 1100 Woodside Road, Redwood City CA, Thursday, May 6th at 11:00 AM. Trudy will be laid to rest, with her loving husband Norman, at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Los Altos CA. Flowers may be sent to Crippen & Flynn, Woodside Chapel, 400 Woodside Road Redwood city CA 94061
