Frank J.
Demanuele
August 6, 1932 – April 26, 2024
On April 26, 2024, Frank passed away peacefully surrounded by his family
at Tahoe Forrest Hospital in Truckee, California.
Frank was born in Malta and lived through WW II. He played professional
Soccer (futbal) there and completed an Electrician apprenticeship program
with the Maltese shipping doc yard learning his lifelong electrical vocation.
He also worked on the Merchant Marines and in Canada and Alaska in the
electrical field before moving back to Malta.
Upon moving back to Malta he met his wife Connie (Cettina) and then
immigrated to San Francisco where they had two sons; Tony and Norbert,
to start a family.
He eventually started an electrical contracting business after working at
United (SFO for a number of years), it was known as, FJD Electric and he
was known within the Maltese community as "Frank the electrician"; He
was always willing to lend a hand and help the Maltese community.
He was a devoted 49er, Giants, and Boxing fan and enjoyed watching and
gossiping about them with his family and friends. Additionally, he was an
avid member of the Maltese Club in South San Francisco, where he
enjoyed going to the various events and meetings with Connie and seeing
his many Maltese friends.
After retirement he bought an RV and traveled around the country with
Connie and also visited his brother, Maurice in Canada. He eventually
bought a house in Tahoe and enjoyed spending time there.
In his later years his two sons helped take care of him. He spent the last
two years in Tahoe with his son, Tony. He is survived by his two sons,
brothers: Vince and Maurice and their wives Antoinette and Mary; and by
his various nieces and nephews.
He will be dearly missed.
