His family sadly announces that Edward Lieberman passed away on April 10, 2024. A proud Brooklynite born in 1946, graduate of Syracuse University, community organizer in the Peace Corps, El Salvador, and finally labor representative from 1978-2005 (CSEA, CNA, OELocal 3, MEA), a profession in which he excelled.


Gayle, his life partner for 45 years, daughter Molly, son Dan, daughter-in-law Marie, grandsons Dashiell and Sebastian, and his many friends and extended family will miss Ed's brilliant wit, kindness, and boundless generosity. He was a true gem.
