Doug was born in the Bronx, New York to Aldo Tozzini and Dina Cecchi Tozzini.  At 18 months of age he moved to Redwood City with his extended family.  He attended Serra High School, College of San Mateo, and San Jose State University.

In 1965 Doug married Leslie Lynn Gould and they added a son to the family, Gian Piero Tozzini in 1969.  Gian added a special daughter-in-law, Erica, to the family.  Doug was a master of many trades; he served as a Police officer in Redwood City and later with the City of Brisbane, as well as an instructor at the Police Academy.  He was a machinist and had his own business, as well as teaching industrial arts.  Doug also had a business importing cars from Italy, and worked as an analyst for HIDTA.  He loved sailing and motorcycles.  Doug and Leslie spent many wonderful hours traveling, especially enjoying trips to Italy, and always learning new things.  Doug and Leslie were always learning while raising their son Gian, and were thankful to God for the experience of parenting.

Doug fought a long hard battle with Alzheimer's Disease.  He will be greatly missed by his wife, son, daughter-in-law and his many wonderful friends!
