Chika Barry (of Guam and California) passed away peacefully in her home in Redwood Shores, CA on Saturday, Nov. 25th, at the age of 78, with her family by her side. Chika is predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Robert J Barry, and is survived by her daughters, Vivian Barry-Hamilton (Matthew) and Michelle Afzali (Danny), her grandchildren Christopher and Brandon Hamilton, Corin and Robert Afzali, and her sisters Uremi Okada and Shigemi Nakajima of Japan. Chika will be sadly missed and will always hold a place in our hearts. The Funeral Mass will be held at the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Belmont, CA on Friday, December 15th at 11am. A reception to honor her life will immediately follow. A private interment will be held at a later date at the Sacramento Valley National Veterans Cemetery.
