Maskiewicz
January 28, 1950 – March 2, 2022
On March 2nd, 2022 Chester Maskiewicz, 72, of Emerald Hills, Ca lost his 4 year battle with Lung Cancer. He died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his wife, Maria; his sons Phillip, Michael and Thomas, his 98 year old Mother, Anna and his 75 year old brother Jerry. His loving granddaughters Bentley, Shelby and Harley were the biggest joy of his life.
Chester graduated from New Jersey Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He worked in the Construction field for over 50 years, 38 of these years with Rudolph and Sletten in the Bay area. Projects he was most proud of were The Monterey Bay Aquarium, the Apple Inc Infinity Loop, Sun Microsystems, Facebook.
Growing up, Chester had a passion for Soccer. He was a standout Soccer Player all thru his school years and took his College team to the state championships. He even went on to play Pro in New York before moving to California. He was a great family Man –he coached all 3 of his Sons in Soccer, volunteered at their school and assisted coached their basketball and baseball teams.
As he grew older he discovered Cycling. He participated in many Century rides as well as competing in races. Going for a 40 mile bicycle ride was almost a daily occurrence.
He was beloved by everyone who ever met him. A fantastic father and grandfather, A great husband and wonderful friend.
A celebration of Chester's life will be announced by the family at a later date.
