Obituary

Bruce Louis Dinkel, 69, of Redwood City, CA awakened to eternal life on August 8th, 2023. Born of this earth September 1st, 1953 and departed before him are his parents Louis and Fern Dinkel. Bruce will be remembered and truly missed by his wife Jean Dinkel; children Sarah Dinkel, Rebecca Dinkel (Aaron Bentley), Christina Dinkel (Andrew Lyon), and Joseph Dinkel; grand-daughter Aryanna Duarte; brothers & sisters Brad (Valerie) Dinkel, Kathy (Scott) Whitcher, Glenda Oxborough and Lou (Marianne) Dinkel; along with all his extended family, dear friends and colleagues he has shared his life with.

Bruce grew up mainly in Rosemount, MN where he attended elementary and junior high at St. Joseph's Catholic School and graduated in 1971 from Rosemount High School. After attending college at St. Cloud State, Bruce worked for the family business for a number of years before moving to California to start his own business and family. Bruce was devoted to service with charities, and his family and his faith were the highest priorities in his life. He loved going to church, spending time with his family and friends, any sporting event, working and golf when he could sneak it in. Always trying to help others he was known for his serious networking skills to connect and bring people together welcoming everyone in. You could see his big heart and beautiful spirit through his green eyes and huge smile.

The family wishes to express deep gratitude and thanks to all who have supported us through Bruce's extended illness over the years. Your kindness, love, and prayers helped give us the peace, hope and strength we needed.

In remembrance of Bruce's life, the family requests any charitable donations be made to St. Vincent de Paul or Catholic Charities in lieu of flowers.  More information can be found at the following links:
