Austin Lee passed away unexpectedly at his home on 11/05/2021.  Austin was born in Minneapolis, MN on November 3, 2002 to Kevin Geurts and Katie Lee. He moved to San Mateo, CA in September of 2020 where he attended San Mateo College and worked as a Shift Supervisor at Good Nite Inn.

His ultimate passion was playing basketball and he earned multiple awards and trophies over the years. Austin followed the NBA and knew all the players on every team. He loved the outdoors and was always up for fishing, camping, walking the beach, or relaxing around a campfire. He loved playing cards or board games with his family. He spent many happy days playing with his cousins while he was growing up. They built snow forts, climbed trees, played on the trampoline, roasted hotdogs and made some smores around the campfire. Austin had a compassionate heart, a quick smile and an excitement to try new things.

He is survived by his Father Kevin Geurts, Grandfather Gary Geurts, Grandmother Nina DiGiovanni, Aunt Amy Geurts, Cousins Isaiah Geurts, Jeremiah Geurts, Alyza Dunn, Logan Dunn, and Devin Dunn. Mother Katie Lee, Grandmother (Nana) Wendy Byars, Sister Emily Jordan, Brother Joseph Jordan, and his Uncle Jacob Lee. He is preceded in death by his Grandfather (Papa) Charles Byars.

The memorial Service is Monday, November 15, 2021 at 1pm at Crippen & Flynn Carlmont Chapel, Belmont, CA.
