Anna Herdtler, 93, of Belmont, CA, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing.

Born in Belfast, Ireland on March 30, 1928, Anna was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Mason and the third youngest of 6 siblings. Not long after World War II she immigrated to Montreal, Canada where she worked for Pratt and Whitney as a comptroller.  She met her husband, Johannes (John) Herdtler in Montreal and in the early 1960's they immigrated to the United States where they married and settled in San Francisco.

Anna continued her career as a comptroller and later became a mother and full-time homemaker. In addition to raising a family Anna got her real estate license and learned to speak German. She was also an avid reader and loved art history. Anna and her husband John spent many years traveling through Europe visiting family and making memories.

Surviving Anna are her daughter, Moira Mangan and husband Paul, her stepdaughter Connie Naef and partner Bill Cox, her grandchildren, Fiona, and Ciara (Moira), her youngest sister and many nieces and nephews in Ireland. Anna was preceded in her death by her husband of 49 years, Johannes (John) Herdtler.

Anna was honored at a memorial service at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church on Saturday, August 28, 2021, and then laid to rest at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Menlo Park. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. MAY SHE REST IN PEACE.
